At Myers of Maine Woodworks, I am passionate about wood crafting. I believe that creativity is the key to happiness, and that everyone has the ability to create beautiful things. By hand selecting the materials and carefully planning the design, I present pieces that you will cherish for many years to come.
I can create a custom design for you, or collaborate with you and your ideas.
I craft each piece to fit your needs. I use quality hardwoods. Each piece has hand selected pieces of wood that have beautiful grain patterns, and no two pieces are alike.
Special occasions in life need a special place to store memories. Keepsake boxes are the perfect place to keep your treasures in a location that lets your box be as important as what it contains.
I also make lamps, end tables, dining tables, occasional tables, beds, and entertainment centers.
At a very young age, I had a compulsion for building things. Born and raised in Massachusetts, I moved to Maine after graduating from UMASS in 1976. For 26 years I was owner of an Inn/Restaurant in Western Maine where I renovated all 18 rooms. After selling the Inn in 2006, I pursued a medical career in Nuclear Medicine for the past 22 years. Throughout all those years, I have never stopped creating and building things with wood. As retirement age approaches, I am finally able to dedicate more time to my craft and plan to spend many more years creating handcrafted pieces of art.
